Mersa procul terris in cespite lympha profundo
Non nisi perfossis possum procedere venis,
Et trahor ad superos alieno ducta labore.
Translation:
Water sunk deep in the earth, far down,
I am not able to appear except by channels dug out,
I am pulled and led to those above by another’s labour.
